Your Initial Call
When you call MasterWorks, we will speak with you about the goals you have in mind for your renovation project and discuss the feasibility of those goals in conjunction with your budget, your neighborhood and your short and long term plans. We want to make sure we provide you with the best service and advice for your circumstances. Our objective will be to turn your thoughts and dreams into reality.

On-Site Complimentary Consultation
The initial phone call is followed by an on-site consultation where we come out to meet with you in person and take a closer look at your home space and existing conditions. At this point, we will discuss, in a bit more detail, your goals and possible solutions. We will also make sure you fully understand our process and will show you examples of similar jobs that we have done for our other clients. We will be happy to give you references that you can contact to discuss our process, quality of work and professionalism.

Design Meeting/Existing Conditions Documentation
When you are comfortable that MasterWorks can give you the quality of experience you are looking for in a renovation company, we will be happy to proceed through the design process with you. At that time, we take a small design development deposit and bring the rest of our design team on board to document the existing conditions and to discuss at length how we may best serve your renovation needs. The team will then develop the best custom solution for your specific needs and desires. At this point your investment is limited to the cost of the design, the detailed project definition and preparation.

Preliminary Design Presentation
There are a few key meetings during the design process. The first meeting will be to review the preliminary architectural design plans with you, confirm with you that we are on track with meeting your objectives and discuss any minor changes you may desire after reviewing these plans. We will then proceed to the next step in the process finalizing the architectural and cabinetry designs, and selecting all of the fixtures, fittings and finishes needed to complete your renovation.

Final Design Presentation and Finish Selections
Following the preliminary plan review and finish selections, we proceed to the final development phase of the design. We will bring a small group of our trades out to your home to see the site first hand, along with the plans, so that we may ensure we cover all of the details in developing your renovation package. When all of the information is gathered and the details worked out, we will bring you back in for a final presentation of the plans. This is the chance to iron out any last minute details or changes to the plans or finishes. We like to get those decisions and details worked out in advance of construction so that you can sit back and enjoy the transformation of old to new in this exciting process.

Contract Signing
With the last details finished, we will sign a construction contract. At this meeting, we will again review the plans, the project scope, the cabinetry designs, and the finish selections, and answer any remaining questions you may have so that you can get prepared for the transformation. We’ll describe the anticipated project lifecycle and stages of development so that you’ll know up front what to expect of us and we’ll let you know what our expectations are of you. We’ll prepare you for how and when you will be impacted during the construction process. Our goal will be to manage your project so as to make the process simple and enjoyable for you, and to minimize any imposition and demands on you and your personal time!

Construction
Construction begins with an introduction to your project manager, a review of the contract documents and a discussion about what to expect during the construction process. We will present you with your MasterWorks Project Notebook that includes a copy of your contract, a project management plan, copies of our workers’ compensation and liability insurance policies, lists of contractor provided and homeowner provided items, and other information pertinent to your specific project. Throughout the project we will have both informal and regularly scheduled progress review meetings to make sure we are proceeding according to contract, and that we are continuing to successfully set and meet your expectations. When the transformation is complete, we will have a final walkthrough with you to insure we identify any areas that may need “fine tuning” and leave you to enjoy your new space. Our one year warranty assures your continuing satisfaction.
